Set 250 years into the future, The Fifth Element focuses on the efforts of a group of humans and aliens in trying to stop a comet containing the ultimate distillation of evil from reaching Earth. With alien girl Leeloo, the key to the Fifth element, they set out to try to locate the four ancient stones that represent the basic elements they believe can save Earth.

Players may choose to play either Leeloo or Korben Dallas through 15 full 3D levels including New-York 2213, Astroport, Fhloston and Paradise. Played in third person view, the character will have to fight against 16 enemies from the movie such as Mangalores, the Zorg crew and the flying robocop, both hand to hand and/or with weapons. Artificial intelligence was used to ensure that camera movements could be as free as possible in levels where lots of interactions with backgrounds are available.
